Podcasts are a wonderful resource for both entertainment and learning. Listening to podcasts increase students vocabulary and learning.  Listening to podcasts and audio books actives the same neurological responses as listening to a read aloud. These high quality podcast recommendations are geared to children. Given that the selections all host such intriguing content, adults won't be able to resist listening as well.

Technology plays an ever-increasing role in education. Many neural divergent students have technology intervention as an accommodation on their IEP. My list of technology resources includes apps and software appropriate for use at school, others more suited to supplementing learning at home and some applicable to both venues.

For decades researchers have provided us with information on best practices for teaching reading and fostering literacy. In this section I share with you my favourite books, as well as books that come highly recommended by others in the field of teaching/learning.

A picture is worth a thousand words and video clips are even better. There are a lot of social media accounts that offer advice on reading instruction. The link above takes the guesswork out of knowing which accounts have evidence based information.
